About the founder, Garrett Jay
Garrett learned the value of money at a very early age. His parents didn’t force him to learn about money, but rather encouraged him to earn his own money and spend his own money. He doesn’t remember ever receiving an allowance or getting paid to help with chores around the house. He says, “I never expected any money from my parents and believe I am a better person monetarily today because of it.” He learned how to market/sell services door to door and through word of mouth. He learned how to price products and services by studying the real world supply and demand in the marketplace. He learned how to source supplies and inventory and the value of offering excellent customer service. Most importantly, he learned that starting to save money at an early age and saving often are the best ways to achieve financial success. Formal education highlights:

Started and operated several businesses since high school including:

- “Super Seal” driveway seal coating service
- “My Favorite Place” full service restaurant and catering offering TLC (Tasty Low fat Cuisine)
- “Made By Loving Hands” importer and reseller of Brazilian handmade jewelry and sculpture.
